You must have heard by now, Twestival Beirut 2011 is cooking up a storm. Ever since we found out that our March 24 event would be taking place at Tawlet in Mar Mikhael, we have been wracking our brains trying to come up with the most delicious & inventive menu. We’re going for an all-Lebanese menu, and while some of the dishes we chose will be cooked in the traditional manner, we have given some of them a twist of our own. Think Shanklish Pie and Rice pudding brulée. Think local ingredients and comfort food. Think big generous dishes and yummy finger food. Are you hungry yet? With no further delay here is our menu: Entrées: Batata harra Kebbet batata El’ass bi thini Shanklish pie Fatayer be coussa Msakhan Adass bhamoud Salads: Fattoush jnoube Salade fraicheur Salade verte Raheb Salad Main Dishes: Chicken frikeh Kebbet laktine Warak 3enab Riz boukhari Spinach mante Fish & zuccini + bakdounsieh Shawarma Desserts: 3aysh el saray khchaf Rice pudding brulee Halawe w moz Debs be thini Biscuit w raha Tarabish Fruits Thanks to Tawlet and the Twestival Beirut cooking team: @Marilynzakhour @gabdallah @sdkaaa @nadim_aa @aminematta and Grace Haddad.
